I’ve been feeling like the luckiest girl in the world lately!
I got a surprising, generous bonus this week for all the help I’ve given my company for the past (nearly) three years. Let’s just say that my salary will now go towards savings instead of debt!
On top of that, my co-worker and I are being sent to Vegas tomorrow to see The Beatles’ Cirque du Soileil LOVE! We are sooo excited, I’ve heard so much about this show and have wanted to go since it opened, I believe in 2006? We have VIP tickets, so we are seated close to the stage and also get to go to the REVOLUTION Lounge afterward for complimentary drinks and hors d’oeuvres! We are flying in early tomorrow morning and staying at Treasure Island. I can’t wait to hit the pool and drink some Miami Vices and Margaritas! Please wish us luck as we try our hands at the slot machines…neither of us know how to play the tables!
I picked up my iPod Nano last night from Gabe (Thank you!!) and he got me GREEN! Yay! I came home and played with it right away–I like the form factor; it’s super light but it’s going to take some time to get used to the thinness. I am used to my iPod Mini, iPod 4th gen, and Blackberry Curve, so thin devices throw me off. I downloaded TETRIS! I can play color games on my iPod yay! The “Accelerometer” technology is astounding. Okay, that’s a fairly strong word, but it’s so cool! There is a maze game in which you actually rotate the iPod in your hand to navigate to the endpoint, rather than using the click wheel. The short flight to Vegas will be so serene…Tetris and maybe some Explosions in the Sky? Sign me up!
Maggie says hi!
Yay! One of those will soon be mine! I went to the Apple Store on Friday to check out the colors and I just couldn’t pick between green and pink…My good friend Gabe ordered me one yesterday with his employee discount and I told him to surprise me. My iPod Mini and iPod (4th Gen) only work when they’re plugged into a power source so it was time to get something new I can use on the bus!
